About
I’m a cybersecurity leader and AI engineer. I’ve worked in enterprise technology for the U.S. Department of War since 1997.
I’m a U.S. Air Force veteran, and I live in Tokyo. My day job is leading a cybersecurity team that keeps defense healthcare systems secure and authorized to operate. I’ve held the CISSP since 2020.
In 2021 I founded Chibi AI, a writing platform that gives writers direct access to hundreds of AI models and fine control over their prompts. Since then I’ve helped thousands of people write better prompts.
In 2023 I created AI Blueprint Language (AIBL). You write a prompt as Markdown with placeholders, loops and plain-English conditions, and the model returns output in the same shape every time. I’m writing a book about it.
My current product is Koubou, a local-first studio for AI-assisted writing and research. Your documents stay in your browser. You pick the model through OpenRouter, or run one locally with Ollama. The roles, templates and workflows you save are there for the next job, so you don’t start from a blank prompt.
Chibi Things, the other half of this site, is where I build tiny tools and toys for fun, with AI. My newsletter has the same name. I write about the Things I build and how I built them, and about what I learn working with AI.
